Back pressure maintaining valves, also known as Back pressure regulators, Overflow valves or simply Pressure Maintaining Valves, are used for maintaining upstream media at a set pressure.


Back pressure maintaining valves, also known as back pressure regulators, overflow valves or simply pressure maintaining valves, are used for maintaining upstream media at a set pressure. Our pressure maintaining valve ranges mirror our high pressure regulator ranges and are available as both dome loaded and spring loaded valves. They provide repeatable and accurate over pressure protection where relief valve hysteresis and endurance are insufficient. Their heavy-duty construction allows them to be used in the most arduous environments.

Dome loaded pressure maintaining valves are used in high flow applications in low to medium pressure ranges. Pressure within the dome can be controlled internally and externally, with no need for a separate pilot regulator for internal loading.

Spring loaded pressure maintaining valves can be adjusted manually and are ideal for low, medium and high pressure applications.

Our range covers port sizes from 3/8” to 3” and inlet pressures up to 1000 bar with stainless steel, aluminium and brass being the typical body materials offered.
